On gat
gat (Gasfachliche Aussprachetagung) is Germany's largest gas industry conference. It is the information hub for all innovation and technology topics related to gas. It is also Germany's largest gas trade fair. With exhibitor and participant numbers growing each year, gat, which is keenly observed throughout Europe, is one of the leading industry showcases. Each year, the conference and exhibition attract some 3,000 specialist and managers from utilities (network operators, integrated utilities, municipal utilities, etc.), industry, science, politics, administration and local government. The participants come from the whole of Germany and neighbouring countries. Simultaneous English interpreting is available for the gat presentations.
gat has been organized for about 50 years by DVGW Deutscher Verein des Gas- und Wasserfaches, Bonn, in cooperation with BDEW, Bundesverband der Energie- und Wasserwirtschaft, Berlin. It is held annually at different locations.
